Programs, Classes and Workshops

Young Authors | Family Evening | Additional Days | Teachers | Teenagers

It was obvious to all of us that you possess a passion for your craft and that you possess an unusual ability to touch children with your work. You presented wonderfully simple ideas which the teachers will apply to their own lessons in the future . . . wonderfully simple but profound strategies.

YOUNG AUTHORS’ DAY

It is always really amazing how an assembly, followed by a workshop, can open new doors for children to want to participate more than ever in reading, writing, and drawing!

A full day with Molly Piper starts with an all-school assembly, followed by grade-level workshops. The assembly is a lively, inspiring slide presentation, during which Molly shares her ways of transforming personal experience, research, and imagination into writing and illustrating. More importantly, she shows students how they can do the same - and perhaps greater!

The hands-on workshops demonstrate how drawing and writing can enhance all areas of schoolwork. Molly also introduces methods for creative brainstorming.

BOOKS AND BLANKETS - FAMILY EVENING

This optional but very meaningful evening hour for families follows the Young Authors’ Day. It is a one-hour slide talk/workshop and serves the important purpose of children and parents sharing the creative inspirations of the day.

ADDITIONAL DAYS

To involve students further in creative thinking, writing, and art, your school may wish to book additional days. Discounts available.
