If you had already “liked” my blog page on Facebook, but don’t want the album download, just give the code to someone who does! Merry Christmas!
I’m very excited about this particular giveaway. I first heard Sara Groves at a concert I went to back in 2008, right in the early days of fighting through depression and PTSD after losing Felicity, our daughter.
As I moved through that very painful stuff, God ended up bringing particular songs into my life that hit me right where I was, right with what I was dealing with. I ended up compiling quite a playlist of these songs and they were a lifeline for me. Not surprisingly, for those of you who know her music, Sara Groves made it onto that list a number of times. I love that she doesn’t bypass really hard things in her lyrics. She even takes on bioethics on this album. Not many people singin’ about that, I imagine.
You can hear for yourself what was on her mind in crafting this new album:
PS-She gives props to Laura Ingalls Wilder in the interview. Remember how we love her???
My favorite songs on the album are “Miracle,” “Open My Hands,” and “Finite.” Any of you want to share your faves?
Thanks so much for reading and supporting this blog. Hope you win!

Thanks Molly! I love Sara Groves also. Her music definitely has made the “soundtrack to my life” on a number of occasions and ministered to me through some difficult season!
Thanks for the info! I’m not on fb, but this album is (good) news to me. Something for the Christmas list, to be sure! Grace and peace to you.
I have long appreciated Sara Groves music/lyrics. The song I carry with me and sing often in my heart is “He’s Always Been Faithful”. I love how she wove her song in with parts of “Great is Thy Faithfulness”. This new CD is on my Christmas list. What a fun giveaway!
Going Home and What do I Know are a couple of my favs. Sara Groves is fantastic!!
My favs are Precious Again and Finite. Love, love, love her music!
i’m not on FB but i would love to win a copy of this cd!!!
It’s so hard to pick a favorite album or song from Sara, because they are all SO good. Glad you are able to give away this kind of art. It’s truth and beauty combined.
Yay! I’m so glad you love Sara Groves! She is such an amazing singer/songwriter. I attend her concerts whenever I am able! Invisible Empires is a great album!
Totally recognizing Charlie and Andi’s house in this interview. :)
I wonder WWCD?. Can we imagine Caroline “logging on”- after the chores are done and Charles is fed? Whether or not she’d succumb to facebook begs the question! ;)
Thanks for sharing Miss Molly!
Wait…I can’t find the ‘I Like Molly Piper’ button! :) Maybe it’s all worn out. Teasing! Hugs girlie!
My daughter is a TCK and we have both fallen in love with Painting Pictures of Egypt. This year while in the US, we got to a Sara Groves concert, what a blessing. Also, love your site, I check it from Africa often.
I love Sara Groves! I’ve been listening to her for years and have also been very encouraged by her frankness, humor, and faith. I haven’t heard her new album yet, but was just listening to “Jeremiah” from The Other Side of Something yesterday, because I just studied the chapter that song is taken from. I don’t think I could pick a favorite (maybe “Add to the Beauty”?) but will probably be singing “Toy Packaging” come Christmas morning :)
I LOVE Sara Groves! I’m excited about this album, and if I don’t win I might just have to put this on my Christmas list. :)
LOVE her! Thanks for the chance to win!
I pre purchased it and love it already. I am choked up right now thinking about how God has used Sara Groves in my life. I can say that her music has given me words to say to Jamin that have kept us married! The one that comes to mind right now is from Fireflies and Songs – Different kinds of Happy. “I’m not holding onto anything I’m not willing to let go of”
Mystery! (“There are so many fakers…I myself have faked it, I should know.”)
Scientists in Japan is close second!
I love that line from Mystery. So good.
I “liked” you. :) Would LOVE this album. I adore Sara Groves’ thoughtful lyrics.
I would love to win this CD. Sarah Groves is a favorite in our home!
