Who’s your family VIP?
Orison’s school has an assembly every Friday where each teacher names a VIP for the week. Orison thinks it’s all very cool, especially that he knows what VIP stands for.
Very
Important
Person.
He thinks it’s so cool that he’s started naming family VIPs.
It happened Saturday morning. He had been at his little art table for awhile, working on a project (not uncommon). Then he called the family into the living room for a presentation (also, not all that uncommon). He held his yellow piece of construction paper up and read this handmade certificate:

Mom and Dad would like to recognize this big girl for always smiling at her brothers. Cadence Felicity.
Is that sweet or what? I think Orison might be the family VIP just for that.
And the spelling??? I love it so much. We’re totally hanging this in her room.

I think this is really excellent! Recanise.
He is just too precious! I love how he randomly just does that kind of stuff. He’s very thoughtful and you can tell he LOVES his family! You are blessed, Molly :)
The spelling is great! He’s really good at sounding it out! What a sweetheart.
Super sweet! Be sure it gets under glass for the long haul. Gotta love Orison!
Oh my heart! It can’t take the cuteness.
What a sweet little man you are raising, Molly. Just when I think I can’t love him more…
Oh my stinking goodness. I love it!!!
What a treasure he is!
What a precious son you have…
This is adorable! Definitely save it. My mom saved little stories that I wrote (horrible spelling and all), and they are hilarious to read today.
And I totally understood what he wrote, sans translation!
“Folisati” is too much! Adorable. Next time he should do one for Whit so they each have a diploma!
Rumor has it, Whit is on the docket.
What a sweet boy you have! How wonderful that he loves his siblings so much. The spelling is the icing on the cake. He is really good at sounding things out!
Precious!
That is awesome. He’s such a great little guy!
He is the coolest! She will love seeing that one day.
That is one of the sweetest things ever! What a precious little man!
So, here I am editing away on a really complex book and your twitter post linking to this pops up. Eager for a distraction, I click over to see what you’ve posted. And then my day was made. I am not exactly sure why, but this made me so happy. So sweet on so many levels. AND, as an editor, I think his spelling is the best!
The spelling is the best part!!! SO precious!! :)
“Folisati” – Oh my, my heart melts. What a lucky girl your daughter is to have such a wonderful brother. Orison is so sweet.
That is so beautiful! It’s amazing how children can make your heart melt in an instant when they offer their sweet insights and reflect God’s love.
I love it! Orison is so phonetic! :)
I LOVE that he spelled Cadence with a /t/ between the ‘n’ and ‘c’. He’s a whiz at phonetics :)
Ah, Orison!
He is allllmost too much. He has such a sweet little heart. I think we should all have a little Orison in our lives (which I guess we’re getting through you guys blogging about him :)!)
That is too precious, Molly!!! I especially love the spelling…straight from the heart! ;)
I love how the really important things pop up when I am doing the other stuff. And I love how much you guys love being a family. Thank you for the smile. Orison rocks!!
That is so. sweet. And also, hilarious. :) Creative spelling is always a ticket to the keepsake bin in our house. What a thoughtful little guy, and what a precious memento for you and baby Cadence!
What a keepsake!
precious!
What a wonderful big brother! And I’m thinking Cadence must be pretty impressive….smiling all day!! :-)
so frame-worthy!
Love it! So precious!
LOL- Had everything been spelled correctly, while impressive, it would definitely have not been as hilarious. What a sweet boy you have. :)
I think he deserves the Brother-of-the-Year award! What a sweet boy!
This will only increase the numbers of our Orison fan club.
He’s wonderful!
:)
Just think of how many adorable little “crafts” you will have to frame and put up by the time you get through all of those kiddos!
This is so incredibly sweet … I have no words. To be a little girl with three brothers. She will be loved. (And rough-housed, but we’ll ignore that for now and focus on the sweetness, OK?)
I love it!!!! Thanks for sharing.
this is just fantastic – i love that he called you all together to ‘announce’ it! makes you wonder what type of profession he’ll pursue one day! :)
This is absolutely great!! Nice work Orison.
