The Curious Incident of the Video in the Night-Time
The other night, Cadence was really struggling with some gas issues. She was all red in the face and it seemed as though her tummy was bothering her. So I thought to myself, “I should look up some infant massage techniques. I’ll You Tube it.”
So I searched infant massage and got tons of results for relieving gas. Perfect!
I clicked on the first one and began watching it. It was a woman with her maybe three-month-old daughter and it seemed pretty easy to follow along with, so I backed it up and started it again, this time doing it along with Cadence.
I got two and half minutes into the video when this happened:
WHAT?!?!
Abraham and I were in shock! Our heads snapped over at each other with mouths gaping open. What are the chances of that?
We went back and played it again to make sure we heard it correctly. Talk about weird!
So somewhere out there, another little Cadence’s former gas issues have helped our little Cadence with her gas issues. The internet is so freaky.

Whoa! Double Cadence all the way!
I have to say, though, I was very much expecting the story to end with some sort of “poop-splosion” (as they’re called in my house) or other awkward hilarity resulting from the fact that babies do not have control of bodily functions yet.
Haha, that IS weird!
I was lost. I was like, ” wow, molly you have a really high pitched voice. and Cadence looks a little different… ” ha haha
then you said it wasn’t your baby. or you for that matter.. :)
Oh, yes…the internet can be so freaky. I was looking up reviews for a book and came across a girl’s blog. I found out she had and Ethan and Karis, just like us…and she named her third Levi…same as our fourth!
I had the same thought as Abby… very confused for a minute until I realized that wasn’t your Cadence.
i had to read the comments to figure out what was going on. haha.
Wow, that IS freaky, but a cool freaky! I have fallen absolutely in LOVE with the name Cadence. It makes me want another little girl! :D
I don’t remember how I found your blog but I’ve really been enjoying both yours and Abrahams. I grew up in South Minneapolis and have been living near Vancouver, BC for 35 now. My middle daughter, and her husband, have four year old boy/girl twins. I have a special bond with them since I was at her place helping so much the first 2 years of their lives – and I was just part of the team. I’m glad you have a community too!
Your family is lovely. Congratulations on your new arrivals.
PS – The hip wiggle and pressing the babies bent knees to their chest has been almost magical for us. Often just the knee thing will bring an instant fart (opps – I mean fluff).
Dear Molly,
Wow, this was amazing, and we have a sister in our church with an adorable baby who does have some tummy issues–and I’m going to pass it along to her.
Wish I’d had this when my first little one was born–it would have helped both him and us get some sleep! Blessings to you and Abraham and the boys on your new additions. I’m so thankful and pleased for you, and continue to pray that you will be blessed as a family. Thanks for sharing your treasures with us!
:-)
i thought i already posted this… is this title based on that orange book about the autistic kid? i loved that book….
