Nursing Mom Alert: Killer-Looking Recipe

You know you’re a nursing (read starving) mom when you’re going through your feed reader at 7:30am and are DYING to make this recipe as soon as possible:

Peanut Butter Cup Popcorn

Also, you don’t have to be a nursing mom to want to make this at 7:30am. You basically just have to be human.

And I just realized, you’re a pretty nerdy blogger if you throw the phrase “going through your feed reader…,” into a post without thinking, like everyone speaks this language.

By the way, you should subscribe to this blog, Our Best Bites. So many good recipes, and nothing too complex. I haven’t actually been making any of these good recipes as of late (just drooling on my computer screen), and probably won’t be for a little while still, but you’ll find some good stuff there if you’re in a rut.

You are definitely going to have the excuse to eat eat eat for a while if you’re making milk for TWO babies! so awesome – I admire you :) How’s that going?

  2. Nothing nerdy about going through your feed reader…unless you’re not a blogger. :)

Thanks so much for the link love!

I definitely thought a feed reader was some sort of new nursing technology, some element of maternal esoterica. I’m glad you clarified that.

our best bites is awesome, thanks for the link from way back. made the mango pico de gallo along with broiled tilapia — taste buds exploding in ecstasy! just looked at the peanut butter cup popcorn recipe and pics — can’t wait, can I get this done before work? nah. i’ll just drool til I can get to it later. how are you? can’t even imagine what a ‘typical’ day is like with your newborn twins, toddler, preschooler, house, hubby, blogging : ) God bless you, Molly. Your family is precious!

YUM! I’m chucking because I’m sitting here pumping to boost my milk supply for my five-month-old baby (named Felicity Noelle, oddly enough), drinking Mother’s Milk Tea, and now wishing that I had some of that peanut-butter cup popcorn to eat!

Feeding twins is a big job! I think you have good reason for someone make you that recipe. =)

  6. Julia says:

I agree that one only has to be human to think that popcorn looks amazing, but I am really impressed that you are nursing twins. Good for you!

I am totally making this popcorn–mmm… If it would survive going through the mail, I would send some to you! Congrats on your absolutely precious little ones! They are beautiful.

I’m so thankful that your twins were born healthy and (it seems) nursing is going ok. I had my twins (two girls) 7 months ago and it was just such a praise that they were born at term and at healthy weights. It will be fun to check out your blog and see how you are doing! I also totally know what you mean by a starving nursing momma of twins! It is amazing how I can put away food :). I will be praying for you as you care for these new precious blessings.

  15. Janet says:

    Oh Molly
I am over the moon for you all, it warms my heart to hear success stories. I need to hear as many as I can after losing my little girl at full term last year I am now 19 weeks into the emotional journey that is pregnancy after a loss.
    Its brilliant following your story.
    Thank you

Ourbestbites is amazing! I have started to actually like cooking because of this site. We now have fantastic dinners often (as opposed to once in a blue moon). :)

  20. I soooo know what you mean about nursing starvation! My little guy is almost 4 months, but I still feel like I can eat a horse!

And just saw the Flickr pics of you and your family at the hospital. GORGEOUS!!! My 7 year old daughter said, “wow! She just had twins? She looks great, and not tired like you always do when you have a baby!” Haha, she’s right!
