Piper Twins at 31 Weeks
Yesterday was another ultrasound for the twins! They were so cute to see on the 4D ultrasound!
Here’s Twin A (our little girl): She is currently head-down and in first position to come out. If she stays this way (PLEASE pray that she does) then my chances of a normal delivery (meaning no C-section) are very good. It looks in the picture like her eyes are open, but they aren’t (trust me, I asked). The tech said that it was just the angle of the view that made it look like eyes were open.
And here is Twin B (our little boy): Yes, he is still a little boy. I was seriously just praying for no more surprises on gender. He was very cooperative about getting his picture taken the entire time, though he was moving around quite a bit. He is currently laying transverse right on top of his sister, and he’s breech. But they don’t think that’s a big deal, as long as Twin A stays head-down.
As for me: I feel pretty darn good, all things considered. I mean, I feel pregnant, but that’s to be expected at this point. I have to take a nap every afternoon or I won’t survive. I’m on a very aggressive iron supplement regimen, since my iron was low last week (and I’ve had iron issues before, especially after delivery). Hopefully getting more iron in my blood and marrow will help with the energy. Here’s a picture of me & Abraham taken last weekend:

Please pray:
- that God would give us good, consistent helpers to be with us in the first few months.
- that both babies would be born healthy and whole.
- an excitement in our hearts that will grow and grow.
- a smooth transition to being a family of 6 (YIKES).
It’s not going to be long before I’m posting out-of-the womb pictures for everyone to see! I can’t believe it’s coming so soon! Thanks so much for praying and for sharing in this crazy journey with us.
You look so great Molly!! The twins are so cute and beautiful already. I was so giddy to read this post. If I didn’t have a baby of my own that would add craziness to the mix, I’d offer to come and help you guys for a while :)
They are both beautiful! I can’t wait to meet them.
I’m praying for all the things you listed. I wish I was closer to be part of that consistent help.

I agree with Jessica. If I lived closer I would be there to help in a heartbeat! I have been and will continue to pray for the babies. My brother (Jeremy) has twins (a boy and a girl) and we adore them.

How adorable you ALL look!!! I’ve been praying for you daily and will continue to do so!
When we got 3D Ultrasound of my daughter a couple of years ago, I had to sit back and marvel at the fact that parents can now show off snapshots of their adorable kids BEFORE THEY’RE EVEN BORN! Ain’t God amazing? ;-)
By the way, Little Miss looks just like Abraham and Little Mister looks a lot like you! Congrats, Molly and Abraham!

Oh Molly, I’m so excited for you!! You look gorgeous. Great picture of you two! And as for the 4D images, they kind of gross me out but I’m sure once I’m looking at pictures of my own baby I’ll be in awe. I mean, it’s awesome what we can do with technology now to be able to see a baby’s face in utero but they always look so … goopy! Sorry. :) I’m praying for you and your babies!! Can’t wait for the out-of-the-womb pictures!
Wow, so exciting!! Your babies will be here soon! I’m a twin and I was the 2nd one to come out. I came out breech and from what I hear, it was no big deal at all. I’m happy for you that you get to have a normal labor and delivery, despite having twins. That’s wonderful!

My twins were in the exact same positions. The second one would have been happy to stay in there a while longer but the first was determined to get the whole process going. I delivered in the OR just in case there was an emergency but ended up delivering both twins naturally at 35 weeks.
Praying for you all-especially for good help! Can’t wait to see the post delivery pics and to read about the names you’ve picked out!
I was going to share, too! My b/g twins were in the same positions, with the girlie as baby A. The outcome was unexpected, but I saw God’s hand in it all. I pray that you feel God’s nearness throughout your labor and delivery. My babes just turned 2 – enjoy the adventure! You are looking GREAT at 31 weeks! I remember that expanded belly so well!

Tip on the iron – take it at night right before bed. I used to take iron for years in the am with my other vits..when I had cereal & milk. Milk cancels out the absorption…when I switched…it made a serious difference.

You look so great! I think I would have been extremely shocked (as I know you were) to find out that two girls was actually a boy and a girl…but it is so neat to see how you are falling in love with your children and trusting God (with a good sense of humor) in the timing of all of this!

When I had my twins (and two boys at home 2 and 4 years) there was a “nanny” school near which was looking for homes for practical experience for their students. I had a young woman come about 4 days a week for half a day. It was great and it was provided at no cost! Maybe there is a nanny school in Minneapolis!
