Name That Candy
A few weeks ago we played Name that Movie. Now let’s play Name that Candy.
Last night, as we came home from a day of friends, family, fun, and food, Orison asked:
“Can I have one of those sparkly penguins before bed?”
What was he asking for?

Peeps!
Peeps, of course.
It’s got to be Peeps.
A peep! A peep! A wonderful, wonderful peep!
I hate peeps. So nasty.
I was going to venture something licorice. But the chorus of Peeps — which, when properly stale, are one of my favorite candies — made me change my mind. (Maybe I’m too easily swayed.)
First I was thinking sour patch kids, but then I remembered Peeps. Eeeeew! I was able to avoid them in our house this year, but my kiddos looooove them.
Sour patch kids.
PEEPS! Which I cannot stand, but have you ever microwaved them and watched them grow into giant, scary, puffy Peeps? That’s some Monday after Easter fun for ya. ;-)
Peeps! Which when lightly toasted and sandwiched between graham crackers and bittersweet chocolate, make a deelish S’more…
Peeps! I don’t like Peeps, and therefore don’t buy them, but I have a penguin lover who would probably think the same thing!
Peeps! (which incidentally are only good if you score the package to open it and then leave them to sit in a cupboard untouched for 2-3 weeks. THEN, they are quite desirable! :) )
Peeps?
honestly, i would have had no idea.
MARSHMELLOW PEEPS
All I can think of are Peeps. Ech!
Peeps? They are kind of sparkly.. not sure about the penguin part :)
Hope you all had a great Easter!

Peeps. Gotta be the peeps.
I would definitely say “peeps” :-) I’m surprised they haven’t made them in penguin form yet…they seem to have a new shape for every holiday season. And he’s right, they do look very much like penguins sometimes! :-) Too cute!
Peeps! :)
Molly,
I had to think a few minuetes on this one. But I thought up an answer : Peeps!!
Little people are so cute when they describe things!
Love you.
The Trader Joes gummy penguins with juice in their tummy…?
Blessings.
