Welcome to MollyPiper.com!
I have a new website! After a year of intending to switch from wordpress.com to my own self-hosted blog, it’s finally happened! (Not to say that I could explain to any of you what that means, but whatev.)
This couldn’t have happened without the hard work of the following people:
- Josh Sowin of Rainsong Media, the technical brainpower behind pretty much everything.
- Brannon McAllister, the designer of my banner. I love how simple yet pretty it looks. Not to imply that I think I look pretty, but the floral design…
- Abraham Piper, my faithful and devoted husband who knows waaaay more about blogging than I do. He’s seriously a genius.
If you’re already a subscriber then nothing should change for you. If you haven’t subscribed, I’d love it if you did!
If you’re new here, you may want to jump in with my Compassion series from when I went to El Salvador, or my series on How to Help Your Grieving Friend. And of course you can learn more about me on my About page!
Thanks to all of you who’ve read this blog and brought it to this point with your readership and comments. I can’t wait to see where this goes.

*love* the new blog layout. and that picture of you is gorgeous!
Love the new site Molly! The photo on your banner is very “explorer-esque”. Dr. Livingstone would be proud.
Thanks! It was taken in St. Andrew’s, Scotland, playing on the rocks in the North Sea. Dr. Livingstone, indeed!

I love this new space! It’s a bit like redecorating isn’t it? Probably not. I wish I knew more about the tech-y side of blogging. Praise God for those who do!
Congratulations! It looks great.
It was a HUGE change for me when I finally got my own blog domain and website. So yea, I’m excited for you!
Molly your site looks beautiful! I love it
It looks marvelous! Congrats! And hey, did you get my vm last week??
Love, love, LOVE! I was just saying on my blog today that I sometimes wish I had a cool blog name instead of “Marla Taviano.” I mean, really.
The “Molly Piper” makes me smile. Big. And feel loads better about myself.
I went back & forth about that too. “I need a catchy, cute name!!!” But no, here we are. God writing *my* story, with *my* name on it. Alrighty then…
you coulda gone with “Pipin’ Hot Piper”, but i guess you’re just too modest. whatevz.
love the new design! very easy on the eyes
Looks great Molly!
You’re right, the banner is simple and pretty. It’s rather calming so I’m willing to bet many frazzled mommies will make their way over here for a moment or two of serenity. As it so happens, my boy knocked over my coffee as I was typing…look at the banner, look at the banner!!
Ha! That’s right, I’ve built a little hypnosis effect into it.
Awesome! I love the new look (and the fact that your old posts are still here)!

Found your blog via tweet from John Piper. Also a fan of your husband’s blog.
Just wanted to say greetings from Orange County, CA, and I look forward to reading more from you in the future!
CONGRATULATIONS!!! on your new site and the new life growing
Congrats on both!
Molly, I have yet to click through your new pages here….but I did happen upon you and your old site back when my daughter and her husband were in the midst of their sorrow upon receiving the report(at four months) that their baby would not survive outside the womb. Three months later they both mourned and rejoiced as they received and lost their firstborn son, Judah. I just wanted you to know that my daughter relayed to me that she was ministered greatly by the sweet providence of God as she received the words that you had given here-in upon the pages of your heart that you have so unselfishly spoken here. Words spoken to a world in which there are so many other hurting people that are aquainted with your pain—-but do not always have the wonderful perspective that you have been so faithful to give. To God be the glory! The anniversary of Judah’s death was just this past December, but we celebrated his life in Christ and count all else as loss (including this earthly life that we could have shared together)…because of the surpassing worth of knowing that our child and yours.. KNOW Christ Jesus as their Lord. (Philppians 3:8) In this, we greatly rejoice. Though we are torn between wanting to be in two places– we know how far better– how exceedingly rich will our joy be when we meet our precious Father who is in all and over all things. May God continue to richly bless your ministry here– you are a very precious, tool in His hands, at times dealing with the deeper things of life– yet he welds you most gently. God is so precious- so faithful.
I love you though I do not know you—yet! God bless you Molly-
Janae
PS. It truely is a pleasant, easy on the eye site–Well done Molly, Abraham and all the rest!!
